Golden Heart Parking Service (previously the Fairbanks Parking Authority) has been operating in Fairbanks since 1988, and was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 2003.
We provide a number of services to downtown Fairbanks, including operating the Lavery Transportation Center (LTC) and parking garage for daily and extended duration use, managing on-street parking in the downtown core which includes providing enforcement and issuing parking citations.
Our offices are in the Lavery Transportation Center parking garage, located in downtown Fairbanks at 201 Lacey Street.

Our Parking Garage
The Downtown Parking garage provides over 300 safe, covered and clean parking spaces for public access 24/7 365. With recent upgrades to our ticketing machines, and upcoming improvements to lighting signage and amenities, the garage is your best location for reliable, convenient and safe vehicle storage.
To access our facility, from Noble Street turn west onto 3rd Avenue, our vehicle entrance and kiosks are on the right, just before the light at Lacey Street.

What are the rates to park in the parking garage?We currently offer garage parking for $1 per hour in the garage as well as a 30 minute grace period on pulled tickets. If you are looking for longer term or daily parking we offer both the annual and monthly contract parking contracts. Businesses or special requests should contact the office. See Below for More Information.

Can I leave my keycard/ticket in my vehicle?No, you should keep your keycard/ticket on your person while you have a vehicle in the garage. This is very important if you return after the building is secured for the evening or weekend. The keycard/ticket in your possession is your "key" to gain access into the building and retrieve your vehicle.

Where do I park in the garage?We ask longer term parkers to park on the upper levels but you can park any place you like.

I'm scanning my keycard (I can't pull a ticket) but nothing is happening?Please ensure your vehicle is in the correct spot by scanning your keycard again. If the screen reads "Car Not on Loop", please pull forward a bit and try again. If it is still not allowing entry, please call one of the numbers listed for assistance. It is rare but our coms may have momentarily blipped. The garage staff can remote into the system and get you on your way.

Can I scan my keycard or ticket and enter/exit out of the 3rd Ave. Entrance/Exit or 2nd Ave. Exit on foot?When the garage is open you can enter or exit through the gates. Please use caution though! If the garage is secured for the evening or weekend you must enter/exit on foot through the man door at 201 Lacey Street.

The garage looks closed on the weekends because the coil doors are down at the gates and doors are locked?We understand it looks that way but we can assure you that it is open with a keycard or ticket. We take the security of our guests/vehicles very seriously and want to ensure that only those who have a reason to be in the garage occupy it. That being said, please do not open/hold open doors for anyone other than your party.

I like the aesthetics of the garage and want to host an event in the garage. Is that possible?Yes! Please reach out to the office for assistance and planning. Photographers are welcome to use the garage to take pictures, you will have to pull a ticket upon entrance and pay upon exit. We love to see what you captured, please feel free to share!

The Parking Garage @ LTC partners with downtown businesses to offer garage ticket validation, making it easier for customers to shop, dine, and explore. By validating parking, local businesses help cover parking costs for their visitors—encouraging longer stays and repeat visits, and keeping our downtown vibrant and welcoming.

Monthly Keycard Contract
Pay monthly based on the use of the garage. One vehicle per keycard. One use per month equates to a monthly charge. Starting month will be prorated for time used. Please follow the link to read the terms and conditions and complete the contract paperwork linked below
Unfortunately, we cannot offer a senior discount nor a prepayment option for monthly parkers.
